OOC RULES

RULES

1.) Play nice!

First and foremost, respect your fellow players. Things in murder can get heated sometimes, but don't forget that the end goal is to all have fun with each other. Harassment and negative behavior won't be tolerated and we encourage you to come to us if an issue arises.

2.) IC ≠ OOC

No matter what happens in game, you are not your character. Some characters are nicer than others, and especially in a game where IC finger pointing will happen don't forget that it's not aimed at you, the player. In a similar vein don't treat someone harshly just because their character is a jerk, as they're a player just like you.

Additionally OOC knowledge≠ IC game knowledge, which is especially important in trials and investigations. Just because you know something doesn't necessarily mean your character does, so keep this in mind when making deductions ICly.

3.) REDACTED

Please keep your role in the game a secret! It'll be better for everyone this way, including whether you're a victim, killer, or have a plot role. Trust us, it'll be a ton of fun when the reveal does come.

4.) Activity is important

Because of the short-term nature of the game, activity is important to establish bonds and rapport between the characters. To this end we'll be enforcing an AC of two 10 comment threads with two different players each week. Not passing AC can result in IC consequences for your character, including character death. We understand that rl happens sometimes, and if this is the case please give us a heads up: we're more than willing to work with you!

5.) Content warnings

We understand that there likely will be darker content due to the nature of this game, and we ask you to please mark such topics appropriately. This includes mentions of abuse, suicide, incest, and so on. If you're unsure of whether a topic merits a content warning feel free to contact us, or err on the side of the caution. Additionally, please remember to treat these subjects with maturity, and not to make light of them.
